What customers say

Distributed Ownership Addresses Centralized Bottlenecks
“I recommend data mesh principles when larger organizations have distributed data ownership and need scalable governance. I value domain ownership, self service access, better discoverability and clearer accountability for data quality. I see this approach helping teams move beyond a centralized bottleneck and create reusable data products. I would suggest it where product, finance and risk domains need to share responsibility through federated governance, rather than relying on one centralized team.”
Implementation Complexity Can Slow Delivery
“I find implementation complexity a significant gap because a true data mesh requires strong domain ownership, federated governance and self service platform capabilities. I need coordination across product, engineering and data teams, which can slow delivery when automation and standards are immature. I also see extra work when tooling does not consistently enforce quality, lineage and discoverability. I would not recommend this approach for small centralized teams where a simpler warehouse, BI and dbt stack could be faster and more cost effective.”
